The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has initiated a Master scholarship programme, as a supplement to the existing fellowship programme. The aim is to provide talented students from South partner universities with the opportunity to obtain a master’s degree from a Danish university in order to contribute to the development of their countries.
The scholarship programme is part of the ‘Building Stronger Universities’ (BSU) initiative supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. The administrative aspects of the scholarship are taken care of by DFC.
The following universities are part of the programme:
- Ghana: University of Ghana and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology
- Tanzania: Sokoine University of Agriculture, Kilimanjaro Christian Medical College, and State University of Zanzibar
- Uganda: Gulu University
- Nepal: Kathmandu University
You will find more information about the Master scholarship programme and the BSU in the DFC newsletter
At the time being we do not know if there will be a Master scholarship programme under the BSU from 2017 till 2019, but it is currently not in the draft of the Danish Finance Bill for 2017 to include another phase of the BSU Master programme.
You will find an update here as soon we know more.
