Kronborg Castle & Maritime Museum of Denmark

About the event

This month, we invite you on an exciting trip to Helsingør where we will explore a part of Denmark’s history, travelling back 500 years.

First, we are visiting Kronborg Castle which has been standing tall for more than 500 years, controlling the entrance to the Baltic Sea. The Renaissance castle holds a lot of history. In the basement Holger Danske sleeps in the casemates – ready to wake up when Denmark is in distress. Furthermore, it is where Shakespeare’s world-famous play Hamlet took place.

Afterwards, we will visit the Maritime Museum of Denmark. Here, we will experience the story of Denmark as one of the world’s leading maritime nations, going from travelling far and wide as Vikings to having one of the largest fleets up until 200 years ago.

Lunch and transportation is included in the price. Remember comfy shoes, water and clothes suited for the weather.
