Rosenborg Castle

About the event

Join me for a part time day trip, where we will explore Danish history, architecture and culture regarding the Royal Family.

On this trip we will visit Amalienborg Castle, where the Royal Family resides during most of the year, but unfortunately not during the summer. Here we will see the ceremony of the Royal Guard Change. Afterwards, we will follow the guards on their patrol to Rosenborg Castle. The castle is a former royal residence, now a museum and the placement for the Danish Crown Jewels belonging to the Royal Family. During this trip, we get to experience both.

If the weather is nice, we will have a walk through the King’s Garden – a park right next to Rosenborg Castle, where we will see a statue of the great H.C. Andersen, author of several famous fairy tales from the 19th century.
