Santa Lucia Parade

This evening we will leave the cafe a bit early to go on a small excursion to see a Santa Lucia parade in Christianshavn.

The Santa Lucia parade is a famous Christmas tradition celebrated in Denmark every year on December 13th. The parade normally consists of young people dressed in white dresses carrying candle lights while singing beautiful hymns. 

Today, we will see a special edition of the parade – instead of walking through the streets, the Santa Lucias will parade from kayaks in the canals of Copenhagen! Afterwards, we’ll go to a Christmas Market for something hot to drink.

Note that we leave from the cafe at 5 already! Bring warm clothes.
