Course Description
Understanding how to manage research funds effectively, prepare budgets, and justify expenditures are essential skills for researchers navigating grant-funded projects and institutional reporting requirements. This course equips researchers with the foundational tools and confidence to take charge of their research finances.
This module combines foundational Excel skills, proven budgeting practices, and lived funding experiences
Delivery Format
Blended learning:
- Self-paced downloadable PDF lessons (Lesson 1 and Lesson 2)
- Live virtual sessions for storytelling, discussion, and peer learning (Kick Off Live Event and Lesson 3)
Estimated Time Commitment
Approximately 3–4 hours for self-paced materials, plus participation in two live sessions.
