Career and mentorship clinic: Navigating a career in academia
In a world where misinformation is widespread and facts are often overlooked, the need for fact-based knowledge has never been more critical. To counter misinformation, we need more women and men in academia and research. But how does one pursue a career in academia?

Session facilitator: The Mawazo Institute, a women-led African organisation based in Nairobi, Kenya and a panel of women academics in different fields are ready to give advice and individual mentorship.

Clinic goals: 1. Provide participants with a clear roadmap for pursuing and navigating a career in academia. 2. Offer insight into building a support network and finding mentors in the academic field. 3. Empower attendees with tools and techniques to thrive and lead in an academic setting, with a strong focus on gender-sensitivity and inclusion.
