Call for applications 2023 – Phase 1
Universities and research institutions in Denmark can apply for funds for research within the themes announced in the annual Call for Applications.
Denmark’s Strategy for Development Cooperation “The World We Share” constitutes the thematic framework for the call. For details regarding the specific themes and eligible countries please refer to the Call for Applications 2023.
The granted projects are up to five years of duration and up to 10 million DKK.
The Call for Applications is published annually in a two-phased process. Those prequalified in Phase 1 will be invited to make a full-fledged project proposal in Phase 2 of the application round. The projects selected for funding can start up in early 2024.
DIVERSITY
The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is committed to promoting equal opportunities for all and diversity in all its aspects. Therefore, interested parties from all backgrounds, ethnicities, religions, gender identities, ages, or disability statuses are encouraged to submit research applications.
In 2021, 144 applications were received in Phase 1. Of these applications, 38 were submitted by a prospective female project coordinator, and 106 by a male project coordinator. In 2021, a total of 24 applications were selected for granting in Phase 2 of the application round. Of these, 10 have a female project lead and 14 a male project lead.
