Welcome to two new colleagues

Marie Gry Torup Ildvedsen and Chaima El Morabit joined us at Danida Fellowship Centre on 15 August 2024.

Marie Gry Torup Ildvedsen will be working with our Research Administration Team as Research Programme Manager. The Building Stronger Universities programme will be her main focus.

Marie has a Master’s degree in political science and has worked for Danish and international NGOs for the past 16 years. She joins Danida Fellowship Centre with extensive knowledge of quality assurance in the development sector, as well as monitoring, evaluation and learning. Geographically, Marie has worked with countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East, but her primary focus has been East and West Africa where she lived and worked for several years.

Chaima El Morabit is our new Financial Controller and she will oversee the financial controlling and grants management in the Danida-funded collaborative research projects.

Chaima has a Master’s degree in accounting and brings with her extensive experience in managing donor-funded projects, including those supported by DANIDA. Most recently, Chaima worked as a financial controller for MS ActionAid Denmark, supporting large-scale projects in the Global South as well as enhancing the organisation’s financial processes.
