Youth Involvement in Political and Economic life

Purpose: This programme aims to enable participants to sustainably promote young women and men’s participation, influence, and leadership in political and economic life with a focus on youth’s ability to influence policy making and organising themselves in a representative way.

Content: The course ensures a highly participatory learning environment, where participants will explore key issues focusing on two tracks: Track A will focus on youth’s political life, political participation, civic engagement, and advocacy. Track B focuses on youth’s economic life, possibilities for employment and economic growth, and key catalyzing actors in generating such growth. Developing an individual Action Plan based on relevant issues to each participant, is one of the main outputs of the course.

Target group: This course targets leaders and staff of Danida supported youth organisations or organisations with a significant youth focus. These organisations may represent government, civil society, political parties, educational programmes and institutions as well as business interests.
