Calls 2018 for Applications Open – for Research Collaboration Projects

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark (MFA) provides grants for development research activities as part of Denmark’s international development cooperation. The MFA invites applications for research grants related to collaborative research projects under application round 2018. Two research windows are available for research grants in 2018.

Window 1 relates to research collaboration projects with partners in Danida priority countries. These are currently Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Myanmar, Niger, Palestine, Somalia, Tanzania, and Uganda. The research grants are applied for by research-based institutions in Denmark with research partners in Danida priority countries, or by research-based institutions in Ghana/Tanzania with research partners in Denmark.

Window 2 relates to research collaboration projects in the following growth and transition countries (part of the Strategic Sector Cooperation Facility/Partnering with Denmark). These are currently Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Colombia, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kenya, Mexico, Myanmar, South Africa, Turkey, and Vietnam. The research grants are applied for by research-based institutions in Denmark with research partners in growth and transition countries.

The deadline for submission of applications (Phase 1, prequalification) is 2 February 2018 at 12:00 hrs. (Danish Time) for both Window 1 and 2.
