Energy Efficiency
Purpose
By the end of the course, the participants should be able to:
- Understand the importance of energy efficiency and energy management as a part of a national energy transition
- Understand how to implement an energy management scheme in an industry or a building organization including how to initiate an energy auditing scheme
- Develop a business case for implementing energy saving measures in the industry or the building organization, where the fundamental drivers and possible barriers of EE implementation are described, including financial estimates of investments and savings.
- Understand the methods to assess and monitor energy use and develop a maintenance and operation plan.
- Identify and assess potential of relevant technologies and concepts for improving energy efficiency in their country of origin.
Content
In this learning programme, participants are introduced to the overall concepts and benefits of energy management in industry and buildings. The learning programme consists of 1) joint sessions on energy management concepts including an introduction to energy policies and energy fundamentals and 2) parallel sessions on energy management specific for buildings and industry.
Target Group
It is a requirement that participants are affiliated to the Danish Strategic Sector Cooperation (either directly or indirectly). As a minimum, participants must have a bachelor degree in a relevant field and must have a good command of the English language. Participants must have basic knowledge of energy policies and at least 5 years of working experience in a function related to energy management systems. Participants may work for national or regional public authorities, the private energy sector, industries and universities.
