Fostering Innovation and Commercialisation of IPR
Place of study: Copenhagen Business School
Purpose: The course provides participants with the necessary knowledge and tools to bridge innovation, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and business, and translate IPR concepts into commercial terms. Participants are enabled to understand the differences in issues and challenges in IPR-based industries related to entrepreneurship and innovation.
Content: Throughout the course, the participants gain a deep understanding of innovation systems, the role of IPR, and how their own organisation can contribute to improving the speed and effectiveness of the innovation system. Despite the strong theoretical grounding, the course aims first and foremost on application of the course insights, which is facilitated, with the help of course instructors, through the development on an Action Plan based on innovation and IPR management in the home organization.
Target group: The course targets officials with some years of experience in IP offices or other authorities/institutions (e.g., universities, research institutions, public innovation centres, patent agent associations) working on innovation and IPR in Argentina, Brazil, and India. Applicants must have potential to act as change agents or future leaders in their respective organisations.
