Green Growth, Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability

Purpose: This course focuses on Green Growth, Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability in policy and business development. Climate considerations is not just a requirement from authorities, but holds opportunities for new businesses to prosper, can lead to improvements in production processes, and is fundamental to the development of a country.

Content: The course will provide participants with an understanding of the Green Growth concept and rationale, an ability to identify good green practices as well as show the benefits of integrated approaches in planning and implementation processes.  Participants will gain knowledge about planning and educating for sustainability to involve public, private, and CSO sectors through case-based learning and outings. The development of an Action Plan focused on supporting green change processes in each participant’s home organization, is a key outcome of the programme.

Target group: The target group includes policy and decision makers and staff from government, civil society and private sector working within green growth, climate change and environment.
