Strengthening Policy Dialogue – the Role of Governments, Interest Organisations and Civil Society
Purpose: The programme aims to enhance participants’ knowledge of issues related to constructive dialogue between public institutions, interest organisations and civil society organisations (CSOs), by enabling participants to learn and apply tools and methods that contribute to positive change processes.
Content: Focus is on how constructive dialogue between public institutions and civil society, including interest organisations, can contribute to policy and regulation formulations. The programme identifies specific opportunities, threats and challenges within national and global contexts, including the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals. Preparation of an Action Plan is a central product of the programme, and is based on a “Key Challenge and Key Policy Goal” in the home organisation.
Target group: This course targets managers and key staff at government institutions, interest organisations and CSOs, with at least 3-5 years experience, who are engaged with/plan to engage with multi-stakeholder policy dialogue.
