Through Danida Fellowship Centre’s Master’s Scholarship Programme, we provide scholarships to a number of young professionals affiliated to organisations partnering with Denmark under the Strategic Sector Cooperation.
Each year, Danida Fellowship Centre offers approximately 28 scholarships for two-year Master’s programmes at Danish universities, focusing on fields related to the green agenda, including renewable energy, environmental protection, and sustainable food production. In the selection process, priority is given to young talents in Denmark’s African partner countries, while six to eight of the scholarships target young individuals from partner organisations in Asia and Latin America.
Only applications endorsed by the Danish embassy in the applicant’s country of residence will be considered. Danida Fellowship Centre does not accept unsolicited applications.
Only young professionals affiliated to an organisation collaborating with Denmark under the Strategic Sector Cooperation are eligible to apply.

The Danish embassy reviews applications to ensure that candidates meet the eligibility criteria, have selected relevant Master’s programmes, and that the application is in alignment with Danish development cooperation priorities. The Danish embassy nominates candidates for the scholarship and Danida Fellowship Centre carries out the final review of the applications.
Approved candidates are notified directly by Danida Fellowship Centre.
If selected, the candidate will receive an official advance pledge of a scholarship from Danida Fellowship Centre. Approved candidates must apply for admission to the Danish university running the selected Master's programme, respecting the specified deadlines.

The Strategic Sector Cooperation is a key instrument in Denmark’s development cooperation that promotes long-term partnerships between Danish public authorities and their counterparts in partner countries. The aim is to strengthen public sector capacity and promote sustainable solutions within sectors where Denmark has strong expertise such as water, the circular economy, energy, health, food safety, statistics and digitalisation. For each Strategic Sector Corporation project, a sector counsellor is posted at the Danish embassy.
Through this cooperation, Danish authorities share knowledge, regulatory experiences and best practices to support sustainable development and improve public service delivery in partner countries. Danida Fellowship Centre supports the Strategic Sector Cooperation by developing and implementing learning programmes and activities that build the capacity of key stakeholders involved in the cooperation.
