The Programme and its funding possibilities

The Knowledge and Innovation Programme presents a new funding opportunity for equitable partnerships between African and Danish universities.

The programme supports partnerships between universities in Africa and Denmark, as well as student mobility from Africa to Denmark. The programme also includes support linked to EU’s ERASMUS+ actions. The ERASMUS related support options are accessible to universities and other Higher Education Institutions in Denmark.

The programme does not fund research activities.

Grants for partnership projects will be awarded based on annual calls for applications in 2025, 2026 and 2027. Implementation of the first partnership projects are expected to start on 1 January 2026.
