This online course is free and open to all!

Danida Fellowship Centre's e-learning course on the green transition and the triple planetary crisis explains the interconnected global crises of biodiversity loss, climate change, and pollution/waste. The course covers their causes, effects, and potential solutions. It explores how to create responses that address all elements of the crisis and support the green transition.

Areas covered by the course

  • The triple planetary crisis - its elements and the linkages between the elements and the main frameworks for assessing the crisis
  • Biodiversity - status, projections, ecosystem services and nature-based solutions
  • Climate change and climate compatible development, including mitigation and adaptation
  • Circular economy - aiming for zero waste societies by eliminating waste and pollution, keeping products and materials in circulation, and regenerating natural systems
  • Synergies and multiple wins - how to generate multiple benefits from our actions to address the triple crisis

Most importantly, you will get ideas for how to start taking action to support the green transition by addressing the triple crisis.
