An example of activities driven by the national networks is how the Danida Fellows Networks in Latin America (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico) have successfully concluded a collaborative initiative to deliver a Regional Dialogue Series on Water Issues, which was a fully self-organised series of events, delivered virtually in the period August – November 2024. The four networks each took turns to organize and deliver a session, and the series was made up of the following events:

28 November 2024: The fourth session of the Water Dialogue Series. Cámara Argentina del Agua (CAA) contributed through the panel “Water as a driver of the global economy: opportunities for Latin America”. The intervention focused on addressing the water footprint and virtual water applied to agriculture, livestock, energy and other key sectors of the economy.

25 September 2024: The second session of the Water Dialogue Series. The Latin American Network of Danida Fellows explored two crucial concepts: Water Footprint and Virtual Water Export, building towards a proposal with global impact.
