Ulla Tørnæs becomes the Chair of Danida Fellowship Centre’s Board of Directors

Ms Ulla Tørnæs, former Minister for Development Cooperation and former Minister of Education is the new chair of Danida Fellowship Centre’s Board of Directors.

Ms Ulla Tørnæs has been appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark for a three year period alongside the following new board members;

Simon Grünfeld, Director, Nature and Environmental Management, City of Aarhus

Christian Lund, Professor, Global Development, Department of Food and Resource Economics, University of Copenhagen

Christian Krone, Economist, Consultant and Owner of Krone Controlling

Julie Koch, International Director, MS ActionAid Denmark

The new board replaces Margrethe Holm Andersen, Board Chair from 2017-2022,  and board members Verner Kristiansen and Poul Engberg Pedersen.

Danida Fellowship Centre (DFC) is a self-governing institution that co-operates closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.

Since 1992, the Danida Fellowship Centre has offered learning opportunities to partners in Danida financed development cooperation projects and programmes in developing and growth countries.

In addition, Danida Fellowship Centre administers the development research grants provided by Denmark’s development cooperation, and coordinates the Danida Fellows Network.

Danida Fellowship Centre is headed by Director Ms Ulla Næsby Tawiah and employs 28 permanent staff members and 8 student staff.
