The fellowship allowances will be calculated as the number of days of the course period plus two additional days regardless of the actual arrival and departure dates.
Less than 90 days
For stays in Denmark of less than 90 days the allowance will be paid in cash and will be paid the first weekday after arrival. If you arrive during the weekend, you are therefore advised to bring some foreign currency for the first days’ spending.
More than 90 days
For stays in Denmark of more than 90 days you are requested to open a bank account (and inform DFC of your account number) as soon as you have received your civil registry number (CPR number), which you will receive within the first week in Denmark. You are therefore advised to bring foreign currency for the first week’s spending.

Fellows on further education activities in Denmark
Daily Allowance DKK 235.-
You will receive a personal allowance of DKK 235.- per full day. This correspond to DKK 7,052.- for a full month. Accommodation, including heating, water and electricity, is paid by DFC. The allowance covers food, clothes, medicine, spectacles, dental visits, daily transport and pocket money.
Extended Daily Allowance DKK 400.-
If accommodation is provided in a hotel without kitchen facilities you will receive a daily allowance of DKK 400.-
Reduced Daily Allowance DKK 118.-
When following residential courses, where full board and lodging are provided, you will receive a daily allowance of DKK 118.-.
