Network communication
Since the 1960s, Denmark has been actively supporting development research and capacity building through programmes under Danida, the term used for Denmark’s development cooperation.
For decades, Danida Fellowship Centre has coordinated capacity building activities, administered development research support and recently in the 2020s also added the administration of university partnerships and Master’s programmes to our portfolio. As a result, we have built a vast and diverse network of tens of thousands of Danida fellows who have participated in learning courses and activities and in research projects across Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe, depending on the countries supported by Danida at a given time.
Danida Fellowship Centre’s external communication is geared towards our network of Danida fellows, consisting of researchers, participants in learning activities or Master’s programmes, participants in Danida funded university partnerships and partners of DFC in all the activities we support. We conduct purposeful network communication through our website, newsletters, and social media.
Knowledge communication
At Danida Fellowship Centre, we do not use our communication channels to showcase our work for its own sake, rather, our communication products reflect our belief that communication is a driver and a strategic tool for sharing knowledge and creating change.
We call this approach knowledge communication. This is communication that facilitates the sharing and circulation of knowledge within our network. Through our communication, Danida Fellowship Centre shares knowledge, inspires action, and drives impact within our community of Danida fellows, while always encouraging our network of Danida fellows to do the same.
