Learning is a transformative journey that goes beyond acquiring knowledge and skills. Danida Fellowship Centre provides a holistic learning experience that empowers individuals to become catalysts for positive change.
Danida Fellowship Centre offers learning programmes to Danida’s partners in development cooperation projects and programmes. Danida is the term used for Danish Official Development Aid (ODA).
Every year, we organise about 40 learning programmes, covering vital themes such as energy, environment, health, food production, public-private partnerships, digitalisation and strategic leadership. Our learning programmes target key professionals affiliated with a Danida funded development collaboration, as, for example, a Strategic Sector Cooperation programme. We develop all our learning programmes in line with the needs of these programmes and in close dialogue with Danish universities and specialised consultants, sector counsellors at the Danish embassies, and authorities engaged in the strategic Sector Cooperation programmes, such as line ministries or municipalities.
The universities bring in-depth technical and sectoral expertise from their field, as do the specialised consultants. The Danish embassies, sector counsellors and authorities bring an understanding of the specific contexts in which the participants operate. As for Danida Fellowship Centre, we contribute with several decades of experience in designing learning programmes that spark change beyond the change in individual participants.
