Partnership projects
Partnership projects
SUPPORT OPTIONS
African and Danish university partners can apply for partnership project, funding for student scholarships only or for seed funding for the development of a partnership project application.
A partnership project includes both partnership activities between African and Danish universities and scholarships aimed at students from African university partner(s).
Scholarships only are for existing partnerships outside KIP, with substantial ongoing activities.
Seed funding is not a prerequisite for applying for a partnership project
Universities may submit proposals for more than one partnership project under the same call.

Partnership projects
Partnership projects consist of two components:
- Partnership activities between Danish universities and eligible African Universities
- Scholarships for African students (from eligible African university partners)
Partnership projects must include both outcomes i.e. both partnership activities and scholarships aimed at students from African university partner(s) and must clearly address a shared global challenge. Scholarship activities may start later than partnership activities, but the integration of and connection between two outcomes must be justified, and well described in the application.
Existing partnerships, with substantial ongoing activities and applying for scholarships only, must describe the ongoing partnership and its activities in detail, including how short or long-term scholarship activities link to the ongoing partnership activities.
Seed funding for development of partnership projects
Partners who are new to each other and need more time and specific effort to develop a partnership project application, can apply for seed funding.
Seed funding is not a prerequisite for applying for a partnership project, but an application for seed funding must include a clear preliminary concept or idea for a later project that can be investigated further with the grant.
