Partnership projects

SUPPORT OPTIONS

African and Danish universities can in collaboration apply for partnership projects or for seed funding to develop a partnership project. A partnership project can consist of partnership activities alone or of partnership activities with scholarships aimed at students from African university partner(s). Seed funding can be used to develop a partnership project application.

Existing university partnerships with substantial ongoing partnership activities may apply for scholarship funding only.

Universities may submit proposals for more than one partnership project under the same call.

Deadline for applications 1 October at 13:00 hrs CEST.

Partnership projects

Partnership projects consist of two components:

  • Partnership activities between Danish universities and eligible African Universities
  • Scholarships for African students (from eligible African university partners)

Partnerships between Danish and eligible African universities can apply for partnership activities only, or for partnership activities and scholarship funding. A partnership project can consist of partnership activities alone, of partnership activities with scholarships aimed at students from African university partner(s), or of scholarship activities alone, in cases where an existing partnership is sufficiently developed.

Partnership activities and scholarship funding must be mutually reinforcing. Partnership activities must offer a framework for development of and support to the scholarships, and scholarships funding must reinforce partnership activities.

Seed funding for development of partnership projects

Partners who are new to each other, or who need more time and efforts to develop the foundations for an operative partnership, can apply for seed funding to develop a partnership project application. Seed funding can also be used to prepare the inclusion of a new partner institution into an existing partnership.

The output of a successful seed funding engagement will be a full partnership project application for submission in a later call for applications.
