This Knowledge in Action Talk is ideal for researchers, students and professionals eager to learn how gender sensitive approaches can significantly enhance the quality and impact of their work. Dr Sarah Ssali will delve into the critical role played by gender perspectives in fostering inclusivity and equity when they are integrated into scientific studies.
Dr Ssali’s presentation will be complemented by prepared video questions from a panel of experienced researchers, and there will be an opportunity for real-time online Q&A.
About our Speaker
Dr Sarah Ssali is an Associate Professor and the Dean of the School of Women and Gender Studies, as well as being the Director of the ARUA Centre of Excellence in Notions of Identity at Makerere University in Uganda. With a PhD in International Health Studies from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh in the UK, an MA in Gender Studies from Makerere University and a BA in Social Sciences (Political Science), Dr Ssali brings extensive expertise as a social scientist dedicated to advancing gender equity in research.
