On 22 September from 4.00 to 5.30 pm, the Danish online media Globalnyt.dk LINK together with the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) LINK and Danida Fellowship Centre LINK, will put the spotlight on a highly topical question for Denmark’s international engagement and development cooperation:
Can the need for local solutions to the climate crisis create positive opportunities for the private sector and lead to new partnerships?
This is a hybrid event, with the option to participate either in person or online. Please note that the number of seats is limited.
In-person participation
The event will take place at Industriens Hus, H. C. Andersens Boulevard 18, room Ambition 17+19, DK-1553 Copenhagen V.
Programme and speakers
The event will bring together Danish and Kenyan stakeholders for a discussion on solutions and challenges related to climate adaptation.
Speakers at the event include Peter Odhengo, Programme Coordinator, FLLoCA, the Treasury, Kenya; Mette Dissing-Spandet, Ambassador, Director, Green Diplomacy and Climate, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Denmark; Marie Gad, Senior Vice President, Danish Industry; Ulla Næsby Tawiah, Director, Danida Fellowship Centre, Marie Ladekjær Gravesen, Senior Researcher, the Danish Institute for International Studies and Charlotte Holst Frahm, Senior Vice President, Communication & Marketing, Impact Fund Denmark.
Drawing on Kenyan experiences, the event will open up a dialogue on how Danish expertise, companies and partnerships can work together with local actors in Kenya. We look forward to your participation and hope you will join the discussion.
