The Together for Impact partnership between MS TCDC and Danida Fellowship Centre supports development practitioners in strengthening the skills needed to turn plans into meaningful results. Through a series of professional courses, over 150 Danida fellows have deepened their practice in leadership, results management, policy engagement and communicating development results since the launch of the partnership in 2022.

Grounded in a shared commitment that learning is a driver of development, both Danida Fellowship Centre and MS TCDC work to create spaces where practitioners can reflect on their practice, learn from peers and apply new approaches in their own organisational contexts.
Since 2024, more than 150 Danida fellows and development partners have participated in a series of five professional courses at MS TCDC including Results-Based Management, Public Policy Advocacy and Influencing, Transformational Leadership, the Human Rights-Based Approach, and Storytelling for Impact.
Extra focus on leadership
Beyond technical knowledge, the courses place strong emphasis on reflective practice and adaptive leadership in complex development settings.
“Transformational leadership is about the ability to inspire a shared vision in an organisation. Unlike transactional leadership, where the focus is on achieving specific milestones, transformational leadership is concerned with building the capacity of your team," says Dr Ramsey Lyimo, facilitator, MS TCDC.
Development in practice
All five learning programmes focus on key areas of development practice. They support participants in strengthening their planning and results frameworks and in engaging in policy dialogue. They also focus on applying rights-based and inclusive approaches. Finally, they support communicating development results in ways that inform and inspire action. In this way, the programmes help strengthen leadership practice.
“One key takeaway from the Results-Based Management course is the importance of starting with a solid baseline assessment, understanding root causes, as well as the social, cultural and political context of the people you are working with,” says Siluade Titilayo Ayobami, Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Nigeria.
