Accommodation

Danida Fellowship Centre arranges accommodation for all fellows during their stay in Denmark. Depending on where your programme takes place, you will be hosted either at our own hostel or a hotel in Copenhagen or in suitable facilities near your place of study in other Danish cities.

All accommodation options offer a comfortable environment and opportunities to connect with other fellows.

IN COPENHAGEN

In Copenhagen, your accommodation will either be in Danida Fellowship Centre’s own hostel in Frederiksberg, where there are 68 one-roomed self-contained flats, or at a hotel. We will provide you with information about your specific accommodation directly.

At the hostel, bedding and basic kitchen utensils are provided, but you have to bring your own towels. You are expected to do your own chores such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc. There is a small library area in the Danida Fellowship Centre hostel’s café, and other facilities include table tennis, snooker, a small gym, and outdoor volleyball during the summer. Learn more about the facilities at the Danida Fellowship Centre hostel by watching the video below.

During peak periods, Danida Fellowship Centre also accommodates Danida fellows in hotels, some of which may not provide cooking and laundry facilities. Danida fellows staying at hotels in Copenhagen are welcome to use the common facilities at the Danida Fellowship Centre hostel.

In Copenhagen, Danida Fellowship Centre organises social and cultural activities at the hostel. Activities include talks about Danish culture and norms, social events such as a movie night or a dinner club. You may also be invited on excursions to historical or cultural sites.

IN COPENHAGEN

Danida fellows staying outside Copenhagen are hosted in Aarhus, Aalborg, Esbjerg or Odense. If your programme takes place in one of these cities, you will most likely be accommodated in a hostel with cooking facilities. If you are joining a residential course, board and lodging is provided. We will inform you about your specific accommodation directly.

Outside Copenhagen, social and cultural activities are arranged by the places of study. You may also wish to check out social and cultural activities  organised by local student associations.
