The Selection Committee for the Knowledge and Innovation Programme advises the Danida Fellowship Centre regarding support to university partnerships through the Knowledge and Innovation Programme.

The Selection Committee members are recruited based on competence and experience with university partnerships and exchanges, specialist knowledge about international relations in the higher education landscape in Denmark and African countries, insight into requirements of university and innovation environments in African countries, and finally in-depth knowledge and experience with development cooperation. The committee will assess applications for partnerships, scholarship activities and seed funding for partnerships, and advises the Danida Fellowship Centre in matters regarding the Knowledge and Innovation Programme as relevant.

Celebrating ten years of Danida Fellows Network with a song

Ten years ago, in 2016, we launched the Danida Fellows Network. It came in response to a strong and consistent request from the more than 1,000 fellows that annually attend our learning courses supporting the development programmes under Danida and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.The request was echoed by the hundreds of Master’s and PhD students, and researchers from Danida partner countries working alongside their Danish colleagues in long-standing research collaborations.The closure of this year’s Danida Fellows Network Leaders Convening was celebrated with a song composed especially for the occasion by Danida fellow Prateek Kumawat from India. It is entitled ‘We are the Danida fellows’ and it is a fitting tribute to a network built on collaboration, creativity, and a shared ambition to make a positive and long-lasting difference.By Prateek Kumawat

A journey of youth leadership empowerment and SDG action

The learning course “Empowerment of Youth to Influence SDG Implementation” brings together young leaders from across Africa to strengthen their capacity to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in their local and regional contexts. It promotes mutual learning and shared action. The non-profit 2030beyond has been involved in the course since its inception in 2023 in collaboration with partners in Denmark and various Africa countries.
