Costs of logistic services
These are the cost estimates for Danida Fellowship Centre’s administration of study stays in Denmark from 2026:
PhD students funded by Danida
- Accommodation at the Danida Fellowship Centre hostel – DKK 1,500 per week
- Allowances – budget figure of DKK 274 per day/8,230 per full month (2026 rate), the actual expenses will be invoiced
- Air ticket – budget figure of DKK 9,000 per trip, the actual expenses will be invoiced
- Residence permit (stays over 90 days) – DKK 3,110 (SIRI) + DKK 1,745 (Danish Embassy fee) (for each renewal – also for extensions)
- Schengen visa (stays under 90 days) – DKK 670
- Danida Fellowship Centre’s administration (incl. insurances, counselling, social and cultural activities etc.) – NIL
Allow for an annual increase of app. 2.5% on all the budget figures above.
The expenses incurred by Danida Fellowship Centre are not subject to the 44 per cent overhead.
We are unfortunately not able to offer assistance with stays for senior researchers
If there is free capacity at the DFC Hostel, it is possible to rent a room.
The price for stays under 30 days is 362 DKK per night (2026 rate)
The price for stays over 30 days is 269 DKK per night (2026 rate)
