Three pieces of content to be published in the journalists respective media are required from the journalists taking part in the learning programme. The content of the three pieces of content should be “talking” to the journalists’ target group and tackle and shed light to their countries/region/communities climate crisis concerns or pertinent agendas.
1st: Before the African Climate Summit 2023. Using some of the methodologies or tools during the online science journalism learning sessions. Feedback will be provided by the facilitator Lise Brix if content is delivered before the deadline 17 August to vq@dfcentre.dk and lb@videnskab.dk)
During the course of the learning programme’s constructive journalisme part, the journalists will be tasked to further develop this piece of content and build on it to include perspectives of constructive journalism.
2nd: During the African Climate Summit 2023. A (news) piece of content that makes use of the participation in COP27 and the direct access here to relevant politicians and negotiators in addition to the vast knowledge provided by climate experts, activists etc that can put the outcome of COP27 and thus the climate crisis concerns and agendas of the journalists’ respective countries/regions/communities into perspective.
3rd: After the African Climate Summit 2023 and leading toward COP28. Again, using some of the methodologies or tools from the learning programmes sessions (climate reporting, science journalism, constructive journalism and the summit experience).
