Danida Fellowship Centre is delighted to invite women researchers - Danida fellows and beyond - to join the More Women in Research Community.

The community brings together women researchers participating in Danida Fellowship Centre's learning activities, research collaborations, and university partnership projects, while also welcoming all women researchers from around the world. Together, we want to uplift women in academia and research.

As a member of the community, you will have the opportunity to connect with peers across the globe, discuss research-related topics such as funding, communication, mentorship and AI - through our WhatsApp Community.

You can also take part in the Learn & Lead Together initiative (2026/27), a series of free online learning events and collaborative activities developed in partnership with The Mawazo Institute (Kenya).

Celebrating ten years of Danida Fellows Network with a song

Ten years ago, in 2016, we launched the Danida Fellows Network. It came in response to a strong and consistent request from the more than 1,000 fellows that annually attend our learning courses supporting the development programmes under Danida and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.The request was echoed by the hundreds of Master’s and PhD students, and researchers from Danida partner countries working alongside their Danish colleagues in long-standing research collaborations.The closure of this year’s Danida Fellows Network Leaders Convening was celebrated with a song composed especially for the occasion by Danida fellow Prateek Kumawat from India. It is entitled ‘We are the Danida fellows’ and it is a fitting tribute to a network built on collaboration, creativity, and a shared ambition to make a positive and long-lasting difference.By Prateek Kumawat

A journey of youth leadership empowerment and SDG action

The learning course “Empowerment of Youth to Influence SDG Implementation” brings together young leaders from across Africa to strengthen their capacity to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in their local and regional contexts. It promotes mutual learning and shared action. The non-profit 2030beyond has been involved in the course since its inception in 2023 in collaboration with partners in Denmark and various Africa countries. The Together for Impact partnership between MS TCDC and Danida Fellowship Centre supports development practitioners in strengthening the skills needed to turn plans into meaningful results. Through a series of professional courses, over 150 Danida fellows have deepened their practice in leadership, results management, policy engagement and communicating development results since the launch of the partnership in 2022.
