A new Danida-funded research project: Ethio-Nature
The kick-off of – — a five-year project funded by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and managed by Danida Fellowship Centre, focusing on sustainable groundwater management in Ethiopia.
“’Groundwater fluoride and salinity vs. equity in arid regions: Obtaining inclusive and sustainable resource management”
13 million Kenyans face significant challenges in accessing clean water. But it does not have to stay that way. In a new 10 million DKK project, researchers aim to tackle critical groundwater challenges in Turkana County, Kenya, where only 50 % of the population has access to potable water, and where high fluoride levels and salinity threaten drinking water safety.

“No More Fish in the Sea”
In Ghana, more than 3 million people live off fishing, but the fish are disappearing and with it the livelihoods of millions of people. This is due to a deadly cocktail of pollution, climate change and overfishing.
