This weekend is Fastelavn – a traditional Danish celebration similar to carnival. The Danish word Fastelavn indicates the beginning of a 40 day long fasting period until Easter.
We like to mark the Fastelavn with playful traditions like barrel-hitting, where we break open a decorated barrel filled with treats – just for fun!
Join us in the café dressed in a costume, wearing a mask, or adding a fun accessory for the full Fastelavn experience (it’s of course optional!).
There will be Fastelavnsboller (traditional sweet buns), coffee, tea, and lots of fun!
